Penelope Sloan is on a roll – and she is a vivid splash of color! Penelope is ready to perk up your life with exclusive chic interiors and cool brands.
Inspired by almost everything, she sees things for more then what they are...but what they could be. Various forms of design, the arts, fashion, music and travel keep her color wheel spinning and her heart pumping. Penelope’s open mind keeps her world exciting as she continuously learns from her sensory rich environment.
Penelope feels blessed to have discovered her passion for design early in life - and for having a family who encouraged her creativity. From an early age, Penelope reveled in choosing paint colors and decorating rooms. She was the head interior designer of the house.
At home and school, different art mediums were a daily part of her upbringing. Throughout elementary school, she won the artist of the year award. Penelope has explored a diverse array of art and craft, from painting and drawing, carving and jewelry making, print making and pottery, to volunteering for community projects such as a mosaic park, and being the lead hand for a marine life mural in high school.
Penelope jumped at the opportunity to enroll in high school visual communications and drafting classes. She then convinced her drafting teacher to incorporate interior design projects into the curriculum. After graduating, she continued her passion for interior design and the visual arts by enrolling in the two year Display+Design program at Langara College in Vancouver BC. This program incorporated 3D, Interior and Graphic design, as well as an array of business classes.
Her intense and challenging educational experience in Display+Design refined her design and business skills. The program taught her how to successfully design, plan, and execute projects on tight deadlines. Her ability to remain calm and focused under pressure delivered projects to be proud of.
Penelope is driven, enthusiastic and confident. She looks forward to using her inspired vision to help you realize your design ideas.
